Our Therapist Training Programs

Pre-Graduate Trainee Therapists (Practicum Site)

ATA operates an approved practicum site for pre-graduate students pursuing family therapy degrees and Master of Social Work degrees. Trainees gain supervised experience through delivering CEE-focused sessions, incorporating Ecotherapy, IPNB, and Person-Centered approaches. Supervision ensures alignment with graduation requirements for supervised therapy hours for degree completion, typically 500–1,000 hours per California academic standards.

Post-Graduate Intern Therapists and Social Workers (Licensure Preparation)

For post-graduate interns, ATA provides supervised clinical experience to meet California’s licensure requirements for Marriage and Family Therapists and Clinical Social Work. Interns deliver evidenced-based therapy, leveraging Ecotherapy, IPNB, and Person-Centered modalities, under licensed supervisors. This program provides the opportunity for interns to complete 3,000 supervised hours, including direct client contact with children, adults, individuals and groups.
